About Me
Ania Zakrevskaia
Through collage on mannequins and intuitive painting on canvas, she explores identity and visual memory from both an emotional and conceptual perspective.
In both her paintings and three-dimensional works, she creates open-ended narratives shaped by recognisable cultural references and deeply personal storytelling.
Her work invites a contemplative experience, encouraging viewers to actively engage in constructing the meaning of each image.
She currently lives and works in Spain, where she continues to develop her artistic practice.
When transformed through collage and intervention, the mannequin becomes a three-dimensional canvas that carries identity and narrative. In my paintings, I pursue a free and intuitive form of expression, guided by emotion and instinct.
I work with recognisable imagery, cultural references, and visual elements that belong to our collective memory or to the personal histories of my clients. I am interested in how these images remain with us and re-emerge transformed, awakening different memories and emotions in every viewer.
I conceive each work as an invitation to pause and contemplate. Rather than offering fixed answers, I seek to create a space where the image can be experienced with time, presence, and complete freedom of interpretation.
Visual Artist & Model
Expression Through Art
Rather than viewing photography simply as portraiture, each session becomes an opportunity to explore new ways of communicating and creating. Fashion, art, and performance come together within a shared visual space, allowing every image to express an authentic personality and a distinctive way of seeing the world. It is a natural extension of her creative universe, where sensitivity, aesthetics, and emotion remain the guiding thread throughout every project.
